Renee O’Farrell – Founder & Principal Accountant | Chartered Accountant & Registered Tax Agent
Originally from the Burdekin region, Renee moved to Townsville to pursue her Bachelor of Commerce at James Cook University, graduating in 1998. Having grown up in a family of small business owners, with her parents operating a legal practice in the Burdekin, Renee developed an early appreciation for the dedication, challenges and rewards that come with running a business.
With over 25 years of experience in accounting, taxation and business advisory services, Renee has built a wealth of knowledge working with small to medium enterprises and specialist professional practices. Her expertise spans taxation, business management, bookkeeping, payroll and accounting software, allowing her to provide practical, tailored advice to businesses across a wide range of industries.
Renee's passion has always been about more than just numbers. She genuinely enjoys helping business owners understand their finances, navigate their obligations and make informed decisions that support their business goals.
Married to Rohan and proud mum to their son, Eamon, Renee decided after becoming a mother that it was time to follow her dream of establishing her own business. With a vision of providing personalised, approachable and practical support to small business owners, Bella Consultancy was born.
Initially established as a bookkeeping service, Bella Consultancy was created to help business owners better understand their financial position, gain confidence in their accounting software and spend less time managing paperwork and more time focusing on growing their businesses.
However, it wasn't long before Renee's clients began seeking her broader accounting and taxation expertise. Recognising the opportunity to provide a complete service, Renee obtained her Certificate of Public Practice and expanded Bella Consultancy to incorporate taxation and accounting services.
Today, Bella Consultancy continues to reflect Renee's original vision: providing a friendly, professional and comprehensive service where clients feel supported, understood and confident in their business decisions.
Renee takes pride in building genuine, long-term relationships with her clients and believes that understanding the people behind the business is just as important as understanding the numbers.

Alana Tait – Administration & Payroll Support
Born and raised in Mount Isa, Alana made the move to the coast to pursue her career in the beauty industry. It was during this time that she met her husband, Shane. With Shane's career in the Defence Force taking them to different locations, they eventually settled in Townsville, where they now proudly call home and are raising their two beautiful children.
After taking time away from the workforce to focus on her family, Alana embraced a new career path, stepping into the world of accounting administration.
As part of the Bella Consultancy team, Alana enjoys building relationships with our clients and playing an important role in keeping communication and coordination running smoothly between clients and staff. She also works closely with Renee, providing valuable assistance with payroll services.
With her friendly and approachable nature, strong communication skills and passion for helping others, Alana brings a fresh perspective and a welcoming presence to the team.

Keeley Alexander - Administration & Bookkeeping Support
Born and raised in the Townsville region, Keeley is building her professional experience while undertaking her university studies at James Cook University.
As part of the Bella Consultancy team, Keeley is developing her skills in administration and bookkeeping, embracing the opportunity to learn and grow within the accounting industry.
Keeley enjoys getting to know our clients and assisting them with their day-to-day needs. She plays an important role in supporting communication and coordination between our clients and staff, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
With a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others, Keeley is a valued member of our team. She is particularly enjoying expanding her knowledge of bookkeeping services and gaining practical experience alongside her studies.
